Thank you for you interest in our National Public Lands Day. Unfortunately this event if FULL.
Join Placer Land Trust and REI on Saturday, September 26th for a day of stewardship and celebration of National Public Lands Day. This FREE event will be an interactive day with fun, hands-on activities led by Placer Land Trust docents; plus opportunities to give back through trail-related service projects for all ages and ability levels. No experience necessary. LUNCH provided by Whole Foods and REI VOLUNTEER SHIRTS will be provided for all. Come show your support and appreciation of open spaces and outdoor recreation! RSVP is required.
Please bring snacks, water, work gloves, and wear long pants and closed-toed shoes. The service project will include a short hike to a location that experienced a small fire earlier this summer. We will be planting wildflower seeds in charred soil so please wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.
You may participate in one or all of the following activities:
7:45 Check-in (for those participating in the morning run)

9:30 Safety Talk
9:45-11:15 Service Project (includes short hike)
Kids Nature Activities
11:30 Lunch (provided by Whole Foods) by Coon Creek followed by wine tasting
12:30 Event Concludes—Happy Trails!
CARPOOLING is highly encouraged as parking is limited. Also, please note that the road to Taylor Ranch is dirt and gravel, so high clearance vehicles are preferred, but not required. Taylor Ranch is located in North Auburn.
