Please join us for our first fast-paced cardio fitness hike! We will be keeping a brisk pace, but not jogging. Our goal is to break a sweat and get our heart rates up, while stopping periodically to enjoy the views and do group stretching. If you can walk 4 miles per hour on regular terrain, then this hike is for you! Our trained docents will lead the way for this exciting new exercise hike. The hike starts at 10am.
DISTANCE: The hike will be approximately 4 to 5 miles, and take up to 2 hours.
DIFFICULTY: Moderate to Strenuous with uphill and downhill travel, on uneven ground and rough terrain, at a faster pace than our other hikes.
This is a wilderness outing in a natural setting: there are no restrooms, benches, or water available. Please plan ahead and bring what you will need.
There is no charge, but we have a suggested donation of $10 per person. Your donation helps us continue our work and keeps you informed of other upcoming events. We accept cash or checks at the event, or you can donate online via credit card at https://www.placerlandtrust.org/donate/ .
We have a “leave no trace” policy – if you pack it in, please pack it out.
Sorry, NO dogs are allowed on our Preserves, unless service animals.
Due to the nature of this fast pace hikes, small children are not recommended.
We suggest you wear sturdy shoes, clothing appropriate for the weather conditions, a hat, sunscreen, and mosquito repellent.
Bring plenty of water!! You may want to keep some snacks in your car to refuel after the hike.

It starts at 10:00am in North Auburn. (Directions will be emailed after registration.)
The deadline to sign up is Noon the Friday prior to the event unless it fills up first. Space is limited. You may sign up family members by adding their name below on the registration form. (those not in your household are asked to register themselves.)
