Join us on Saturday, March 12 at 9:00am for a spring hike. We will be showing off our newest trail along with some great views from the top of Big Hill. The Preserves contain unusual rock formations, the gently flowing Coon Creek, and spectacular panoramic views of the Sierra Nevada foothills and Sacramento Valley.
DISTANCE: The hike will be approximately 4 to 5 miles, and may take 3-4 hours depending on the pace of the group and how many stops are made.
DIFFICULTY: Moderate to Strenuous with uphill and downhill travel, on uneven ground and rough terrain.
This is a wilderness outing in a natural setting: there are no restrooms, benches, or water available. Please plan ahead and bring what you will need.
Suggested donation for this hike is $10 per person. Your donation helps expand our trail system and keeps you informed of other upcoming events. We accept cash or checks at the event, or you can donate online via credit card at http://www.placerlandtrust.org/donate/ .
We have a “leave no trace” policy – if you pack it in, please pack it out.

We suggest you wear sturdy shoes, clothing appropriate for the weather conditions, (we suggest long pants), and a hat, sunscreen, and mosquito repellent.
