Calling all Artists! Back by popular demand — we are offering a special opportunity for artists to join us for an “en plein air” event. Bring your paint, brushes, canvas and other supplies and spend the morning painting at Oest Ranch Lake Clementine Preserve in Auburn on Saturday, April 9th at 9:00am.
This Preserve has spectacular views of the Sierra Nevada foothills, the Foresthill Bridge, American River Canyon, scenic oak woodlands, and it’s also a working cattle ranch so you may see a cow or two grazing in the field.
This is a wilderness outing in a natural setting: there are no restrooms, benches, or water available. Please plan ahead and bring what you will need. We suggest you wear sturdy shoes, clothing appropriate for the weather conditions, (we suggest long pants), and a hat, sunscreen & mosquito repellent. Some walking will be required to get to the view points.
Bring water and a brown bag lunch or snacks to enjoy. You might also want your camera!
We have a “leave no trace” policy – if you pack it in, please pack it out.
Sorry, no dogs are allowed on our Preserves, unless service animals.
Participants must sign a release of liability which is available below. Please print and bring it with you.
Liability Waiver & Photo Release
