Volunteer for PLT
Opportunities exist for individuals to volunteer their time or services to PLT.
Many of our projects would not happen without volunteer support. Any level of volunteering is welcomed and greatly appreciated. To discuss volunteering your time or services, please contact Jessica Aviña at (530) 887-9222. Currently we’re recruiting volunteers for the following projects:
- Property Monitoring (Year Round).
- Stream Monitoring Program (Bi-Annual, Spring/Fall) Crew Leader and Crew Member
- Invasive Plant Management and Control Program (Year Round)
- Native Plant Regeneration and Planting Program (Year Round)
- Bird Habitat Improvement Program (Year Round)
- Canyon Creek stream restoration at PLT’s Stagecoach Preserve (Year Round)
- Stagecoach Preserve Special Steward Program
- Canyon View Preserve Stewardship Volunteer Program
- Events planning/assistance (year round)
- Trail Construction (Year Round, Funds Permitting)
- Tour Guides
- Photography of Placer County’s beautiful natural areas and working landscapes (anytime!)
- Assistance with in-office mailings and data entry (year round).
- Tabling at community events (year round). Communications & Outreach Volunteer
