Non-cash Donations ("Wish List")
Placer Land Trust gladly accepts donations of used vehicles, provided they are operable and marketable (meaning the vehicle runs and we’ll be able to sell it).
Donating a vehicle is easy! We’ll do all the work and provide you with an IRS tax form with which to claim a tax deduction for the fair market value of the vehicle. We also accepts other non-cash donations such as stocks, mutual fund shares, real property, equipment, etc.
As a rule Placer Land Trust sells vehicles, stocks, mutual funds and other non-cash donations immediately upon receipt and uses the proceeds to support land conservation, stewardship, and community education efforts. Donated real property (land) may be retained by the Trust if it has high conservation values; otherwise it is sold to generate funds for other land conservation.
