September 18th 1-3 PM: Rickey Ranch
Join Placer Land Trust and the Rickey Family for a for a tour of this 165 acre ranch in the heart of Granite Bay. Aaron and Stephanie Rickey's children are the seventh generation to grow up on this land. Learn about the history of this family farm from Aaron Rickey and enjoy PlacerGROWN refreshments - no charge. September 25th: Great Sierra River Cleanup
Sierra Nevada Conservancy is coordinating the Great Sierra River Cleanup for the second year, and Placer Land Trust will participate once again. This year we will be hosting two cleanup sites; help out in Auburn and Roseville. The volunteer day corresponds with California's Coastal Cleanup Day, now in its 26th year. October 22th 4-8 PM: Wine Tasting at Confluence Kitchen
Placer Land Trust will be hosting a wine tasting at Confluence Kitchen, 13471 Bowman Road, Auburn, from 4 PM to 8 PM. The event is free, open to the public, and will feature Placer Grown wine from Roble Ranch Vineyards, located in Lincoln. We will be unveiling two limited-edition, private wine labels featuring artwork from local artists James Brunk and Unni Stevens. Their paintings, recently created on Bruin Ranch, will be beautifully displayed on each bottle of wine. Donations made at the event will benefit the Bear River Protection Program.
