Join us for a special *Members Only* hike at Oest Ranch Lake Clementine on Saturday, April 9. This property is owned by the Oest family and PLT has partnered with them to protect their land with a conservation easement. Not a member yet? Our docents will give you some history and show you the sites of this historic ranch owned by 4th generation rancher Daryl Oest. (Daryl himself or other family member may also be in attendance)
This hike takes place in North Auburn and begins at 9:00am. It will be approximately 3-5 miles long and take 3+ hours to complete.
Difficulty: Rated as moderate to strenuous with uphill and downhill hiking, uneven ground and rough terrain.
This is a wilderness outing in a natural setting: there are no restrooms, benches, or water available. Please plan ahead and bring what you will need. We suggest you wear sturdy shoes, wear clothing appropriate for the weather conditions, and bring plenty of water.
Bring a sack lunch or snacks to enjoy along the way and your camera! You may also want sunscreen. We have a “leave no trace” policy – if you pack it in, please pack it out.
Parking is limited so carpooling is highly encouraged.
Sorry, no dogs are allowed on our Preserves.
Directions and a reminder will be emailed prior to the hike. The deadline to sign up is Noon the Friday prior to the event or when it fills up.
